The big difference: own your costs
AltText.ai sells credits — you pay them for every image. With our Lifetime plan you buy the plugin once and connect your own OpenAI key, paying OpenAI directly at cost (typically a fraction of a penny per image). For large media libraries, that can be dramatically cheaper.
Prefer not to deal with API keys?
Our Monthly plan works just like a credit service: no OpenAI account needed, just install and go.
More than just alt text
Alt-Text-Image-Meta also writes image titles, captions, descriptions and hover tooltips, so your whole Media Library is tidy — not just one field.
